Entitlements

Full-conference fee includes (for delegates and students): access to all sessions and exhibition at the conference. Conference bag including USB stick with programme and abstracts. Lunches & coffee breaks during the conference as well as conference dinner.

Accompanying person fee includes: Conference dinner and Tel Aviv city tour.
Information about the city tour will be available at the registration desk.

On site registration

It will be possible to register for the conference on site. Only cash payments in EUR currency will however be accepted.

Certificates of attendance

All participants will receive their certificate of attendance by email after the conference.

Meeting rooms

All meeting rooms are located on the same level. The plenary sessions will take place in the meeting room Israel A. Key sessions will take place in the meeting room Israel A, Israel C and Israel D.
Speakers will be able to connect their own laptops or use the computers in the meeting rooms. Speakers are requested to upload or test their presentations in the break prior to the session. Apple and new PC users are reminded to bring the appropriate cables to connect to a VGA projector.

Exhibition

The exhibition is located right in front of the meeting rooms in the Foyer Lounge. The exhibition will be opened throughout the entire conference programme

Poster Area

The posters will be placed in the meeting room Israel B.
The best poster and best oral presentation will be awarded during the CMBBE 2016. The awards will be announced on the last day of the conference. The award committee will select several candidates based on the submitted abstracts. The candidates' presentation will be judges during the symposium.

Coffee breaks and lunch

Coffee breaks will be served at the Foyer, near the exhibition area, and lunches will be held at the Dan Hotel lunch room.

Internet

Free Wi-Fi will be available in the meeting area for all conference participants.

Currency

The shekel (NIS – New Israeli Shekel) is Israel’s legal currency. You can exchange money at the airport or at exchange shops throughout Tel Aviv and in hotels. Credit cards are widely accepted.

 

Electricity

Israel operates with 220V electricity with plugs that have 3 three round pins (Type H, SI 32). Most European (non-UK) 2-pin plugs can fit into the Israeli outlets, but it is recommended to bring an adaptor.

The daytime temperature in September in Tel-Aviv is 25°C (77F).

Israel time zone is Standard time zone: UTC/GMT +3 hours, as daylight saving will still be in effect at the end of September.

The Sabbath

Be aware of the Sabbath: from Friday before sundown to Saturday after sundown, train and bus services are not available in most parts of Israel, and most shops are closed with the exception of some of the minimarkets and many restaurants. Unless you have a car, or are willing to pay for a taxi, if you are out and about on a Friday, you should start thinking about how to get back by early afternoon at the latest.
